Atlas Genetics has patented unique and powerful assays for the detection of DNA and RNA using electrochemistry. Applied on the Velox™ platform this technology has the following benefits:

Our single use test cartridges contains all reagents needed to extract DNA, amplify a specific sequence and detect the target. This minimises both the operator expertise required and the contamination risk.
Atlas patented technology uses target specific probes labelled with an electronic ferrocene tag. The pathogen DNA is first copied many times and then the probe added. This binds to the pathogen DNA and, in combination with a specific enzyme, gives rise to an easily detectable electronic signal.
